[...]
« La période de 2021 à 2024 est marquée par :
l’évolution et l’élargissement des missions prises en charge par l’office (transformation du processus de gestion des dossiers Déparkine, réouverture des dossiers H1N et nouvelles demandes d’indemnisation liées au Covid) ;
le développement des procédures contentieuses en parallèle de la procédure amiable ;

| In Youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Memantine Improves Social Impairment - MGH Psychiatry News |
27/10/2025 |
«For individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), treatment options remain limited. Available pharmacologic treatments may alleviate comorbid symptoms, such as depression, anxiety, and attention deficits, but have minimal impact on core ASD features, including deficits in social functioning.
A recent randomized-controlled trial conducted by Gagan Joshi, MD, and colleagues from the Alan and Lorraine Bressler Clinical and Research Program for Autism Spectrum Disorder evaluated the safety and efficacy of memantine in treating social impairments in youth with ASD.»...

| Nurse-Perpetrated Abuse in Japanese Psychiatric Hospitals: A Cross-Sectional Study of Prevalence and Correlates |
27/10/2025 |
«Introduction: The abuse of psychiatric inpatients in psychiatric hospitals is a global concern. Although the prevalence may be underestimated due to underreporting rates of physical abuse and restraint have been reported at 6% and 40%, respectively.
However, data on this issue are scarce, where the picture is further complicated by the difficulty in defining "abuse" within a context where certain coercive measures are legally permitted.
This study aimed to investigate the prevalence of such abuse and its psychological and workplace-related correlates. Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional survey of 203 nursing staff working in eight psychiatric hospitals located in both rural and urban areas of Japan.
A self-administered, web-based questionnaire battery assessed demographic characteristics, workplace violence, inappropriate and abusive behaviors, moral sensitivity, ethical climate, attitudes toward recovery, job stressors, and moral distress.»
[...]
« Results: The prevalence of respondents who reported experiencing at least one of the 32 abusive behaviors of interest was 87.1%, with ignoring or rejecting patients being the most common form. Logistic regression analysis revealed that experience of workplace violence and more recovery-oriented attitudes were significantly associated with higher odds of engaging in abusive behaviors (adjusted odds ratios: 3.37 and 1.17, respectively), whereas greater moral sensitivity and longer clinical experience were inversely associated (adjusted odds ratios: 0.92 and 0.95, respectively).

| Autism charities portray autistic people as helpless and a burden - our research shows why it matters |
25/10/2025 |
«Autism charities are important organisations. They provide essential services for autistic people, influence policy decisions, and often speak on behalf of autistic people.This means that how these charities write about autistic people may influence how society understands what it means to be autistic.
The words and pictures that autism charities choose to use affect how autistic people are understood, perceived and cared for. This really matters, as autism is still often stigmatised.Our recent study shows that the language and images large autism charities use mainly portray autistic people as a problem.
In contrast, charities represent themselves as the solution to this problem.»...

| Auditory Change Processing Markers Unusual in Autism |
24/10/2025 |
«Recent research published sheds new light on the neural mechanisms underlying auditory processing in adults with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC). This groundbreaking study, led by Liu, delves into the intricate workings of attention-dependent and pre-attentive neural markers, revealing distinct differences between individuals with typical developmental trajectories and those on the autism spectrum.
A deeper understanding of these neural markers not only informs the scientific community of the auditory processing abnormalities prevalent among adults with ASC but also holds implications for therapeutic approaches tailored to enhance communication and interpretation of sensory information in this population.»...

| The Dangerous Data Gap in Pregnancy Drug Research | Scientific American |
24/10/2025 |
«Despite the widespread use of medication during pregnancy, a lack of clinical research leaves patients and doctors navigating treatment with dangerously few data. Rachel Feltman: For Scientific American's Science Quickly, I'm Rachel Feltman.The president of the United States recently claimed that the use of acetaminophen, commonly known by the brand name Tylenol, during pregnancy and early childhood could be linked to autism in kids.
But these claims aren't supported by the scientific evidence, and they highlight a much bigger problem: we know shockingly little about medication safety during pregnancy.»...
